§ 1 Scope and Provider
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "GTC") apply to all orders placed by consumers and entrepreneurs via the Secrets of Life online shop at secretsoflife.eu.

A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor their independent professional activity. An entrepreneur is a natural or legal person or a legal partnership that acts in the exercise of its commercial or independent professional activity when concluding a legal transaction.
§ 2 Conclusion of Contract
The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an non-binding invitation to order.
By clicking the order button, you place a binding order for the goods contained in the shopping cart. We will confirm receipt of your order immediately after submission by an automatically generated email. This confirmation of receipt does not yet constitute acceptance of your contractual offer.
The purchase contract is concluded when we accept your order through an express order confirmation, by sending the goods, or by a shipping confirmation.
We store the contract text. We will send you the order details and our GTC by email. The contract language is German.
§ 3 Prices and Shipping Costs
All stated prices are final prices and include the statutory value-added tax. In addition to the stated prices, shipping costs may apply. The amount of the shipping costs will be clearly communicated to you in the ordering process before completing the order.
For orders over 75 Euros, we deliver free of charge within Germany. For deliveries abroad, different shipping costs may apply, which will be shown in the ordering process.
§ 4 Payment Terms
Payment can be made by Klarna (instant bank transfer and installment purchase), SEPA direct debit, credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, or Google Pay. The available payment methods in each case will be displayed to you during the ordering process.
If a payment method via an external payment service provider is selected, their terms and conditions also apply. The purchase price is due for payment upon conclusion of the contract, unless otherwise agreed.
§ 5 Delivery and Delivery Time
Delivery is made by shipping to the delivery address you provide. We deliver within Germany and to selected countries in the European Union.
Unless otherwise stated, the delivery time within Germany is 2 to 5 working days after conclusion of the contract, or in the case of prepayment, after the time of your payment instruction. Since many of our products are handmade, individual items may have a different delivery time, which is stated in the respective product description.
§ 6 Retention of Title
The delivered goods remain our property until full payment has been made.
§ 7 Right of Withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details can be found in our cancellation policy.
Please note that the right of withdrawal may be excluded for certain goods, in particular for goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual choice or determination by the consumer is decisive, as well as for sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery.
§ 8 Liability for Defects (Warranty)
The statutory liability for defects applies. Different regulations may apply to used goods and for entrepreneurs.
Since many of our products are handmade, slight deviations in color, shape, size, or surface may occur. These are an expression of the handcrafted production and do not constitute a material defect.
§ 9 Dispute Resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS), which you can find at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address is hallo@secretsoflife.eu.
We are not obligated and not willing to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.
§ 10 Final Provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as the protection granted by mandatory provisions of the law of the state of the consumer's habitual residence is not withdrawn.
Should individual provisions of these GTC be ineffective, the remainder of the contract remains effective.
